Securing Connector Housings on PCBs?
#1
Came in way too hot off a split S over a tree and flew full tilt into the trunk popping the ESC connector housing right off!  This was on a Mamba F4 mini stack.  I think it pulled the pads since it is no longer sending anything to the FC as much as I try to secure the connector housing back on and there are no pads on the other side I can direct solder.

What's your technique for securing these connector housings on PCBs?  This kind of connector ...

I've normally just used hot glue but wanted to check if there was a new meta out there.  Like how we used to use liquid electric tape and thats now replaced with conformal coating.

Thanks!

That type of connector is held on with solder, sometimes reinforced with hot glue. If it was ripped off, along with the pads you may not be able to fix it.
(The pins that go through the housing are soldered, and that in turn holds the housing in place, just to clarify)

Yea I'm pretty sure it's done. Unfortunately they don't have corresponding pads on the underside. I went ahead and went nuts with the hot glue gun on my other components with similar housings.
