I was planning on using my new Runcam Split HD as a GoPro alternative (The latency when hooked into the Vista is very noticeable, and makes flying feel 'disconnected'), and tried to design a case for it, but after printing several variations I realized that my best bet is to find someone else who has done this, and see if THEY have a design for a case, so here I am LOL

If anyone has done this, or know someone who has, and can help me out, please let me know! Below is the design I came up with, but since I just started creating 3D designs, it did not come out very well (But I did print a 3d quad frame that came out great!).

Does the Split HD work as a standalone recording camera? I thought the mipi cable needs to be connected to the Vista?
Just a thought, but would you consider a cube/session form factor. You can have the board flat on the bottom and 3D print to mount the camera on top with protection and secured to the 20x20 posts. Those prints look pretty nice and solid though.

One of my other friends that flies has his running as a 'knock-off' GoPro, and he says it works fine as just a DVR - I had originally thought to do a Session-style cube, but was concerned with airflow cooling, using a cube design would limit my ability to add enough vents, and still have it be durable - I'll try another cube design, and see if I can work in cooling vents

Trying a new design, trying the 'Session' style again, I think I was able to get cooling vents placed as to not weaken the structure - Starting the first test print now!

Finally managed a design that works!

I included the OBJ and STL as a ZIP attached - Unfortunately my Split HD stopped working after I updated it to the latest firmware (It never even got to go in the air : , so I am waiting for Runcam support to help me out before I can actually do any testing now
