Anyone heard much about this and why they'd do so?

101 Instead of trying to be the Forever 21 fast fashion of FPV cranking out as many new models of basically the same thing as quickly as possible, these Shenzen companies maybe should just focus on getting their sh*t right the first time.

787 It happens all the time unfortunately with everything. I bought a RunCam 5 black, and before I even got to use it RunCam released a better orange version. Companies purposely release an inferior product knowing full well they could do better but they know if they do that they won't have anything in the bag for another release of a slightly "enhanced" version of what is essentially the same product. And they won't tell you when the new version is being released until the last minute because they want to sell any remaining stock of the older version. They do this because they know there are people out there who always want the latest and greatest version and will just buy the next version no matter what. All the Apple fan boys are a prime example of that.

101 I'll admit I am impressed with my Hybrid's picture quality. The only gripe I have about it is the size of the camera unit. It's so big, it cancels out any weight savings from the single PCB vs the Tarsier. It's size also limits its use on some micro frames.
But I do recall seeing some folks have some major issues with the firmware update where they could not use their HD cams.
I also hope this v2 doesn't require you to hack up a USB cable just to focus on the HD cam lol that was a miss.
