Runcam is working hard, and about to release a new camera (already?!), only a couple of months after the Swift and a few weeks after the Owl Plus.
The Runcam Eagle FPV Camera.
The Eagle has 16:9 aspect ratio (as oppose to 4:3 on most of the cameras on the market right now). The camera is a CMOS camera and not CCD, but it seems to perform even better than the traditional CCD sensors, thanks to their "global WDR" technology.
A friend is already doing some internal testing for Runcam and he compared the performance with the new Foxeer Arrow (which comes with voltage OSD feature), and the result is pretty shocking. He said the performance is better than any FPV cameras that he has used before.
I am also very excited by the pictures he sent me, and I am looking forward to trying the Runcam Eagle FPV camera too!
Some spec:
800 TVL (higher than that actually) 5V-22V voltage input aluminium case - reduce overheat FOV: 130 degree
The camera is still under testing and not available yet, when I find out when I will come back and update.
I hope they make a 4:3 version of this or that it is possible to get the Fatshark Dom HD v2 to show the picture with black lines on top and bottom, so it gives you true 16:9
I am so proud to find that you use a CMOS to compare a CCD camera, how ridiculous, to be fair, can you compare HS1189 camera with your Runcam Eagle camera? they are both 16:9. CMOS camera, here is the link: http://www.hifpv.com/Foxeer-XAT1200M-16%...mera-g-302

Ridiculous is it? The Eagle is a new FPV cam made by Runcam, it makes perfect sense to compare their previous camera and see what has been improved, after all we can only choose to use one of them. It also makes sense to compare the performance of a CCD camera with new CMOS with Global WDR.
I dont have much faith in Foxeer cam, they dont do user testing and just push out products with lots of bugs
