Rooster Re-build
#1
While I was away for a bit I did make time to build and fly.  One of the projects I did was a re-build of my Armattan Rooster.  It was the first quad I ever built, https://intofpv.com/t-first-build--6931 and I put it through all the rigors of a new, but-not-afraid-to-try-things, pilot.  The parts didn't fail, beyond the motor I burnt up doing things I shouldn't be doing, hehe.  Only frame damage was a broken arm from a full speed tree situation....  But, that warranty claim was handled great by Armattan/pyrodrone.com without issue.  I didn't need to do this project, as it was working fine, but I just wanted a 6S basher.  Plus, I love the planning/building aspect of this hobby.  Maybe that's why I'm not afraid to break shit, hehe.

So here we go.

A few pictures of the abused 4S.  Obviously not the prettiest wiring, but I was new and I just needed it to work.  And it sure did....

Here is a list of what was on it and what is now on it.  Items on left were on the 4S while the right are on the 6S.  Armattan 5" frame kept the same obviously.

Lumenier F4 AIO FC    Mamba F722S FC
Spedix IS30 ESC's    Mamba F50 50A 4in1 ESC
Lumenier MX2206-9 2450kV    iFlight XING X2206 1850kV

Added some Diatone Mamba Flashbang SW401 LED's since I had some, hehe.

The only issue I had with the Lumenier motors is that the threads stripped very easily and there are not any replacement bells available.  I have extra of these motors without bells since I bought extras but I've since used the bells from those.

These parts were just swapped over.
TBS Crossfire Nano
TBS Unify Pro 5G8
HellGate Buzzer
Foxeer Falkor Mini
TBS Triumph
TBS Immortal T V2

And the "new" Rooster.  I conformal coat everything before I build.  I then scratch off the coating from the pads I'll be using.  Once all wiring is done I re-coat the pads.

Naked Rooster.  Had to resist using another, but more funny, name for a Rooster....

Nice metal tin with the FC and 4in1 ESC.  Capacitor, stack hardware, extra gummies, and an XT60 with wire included.  I used a 50v 1000uf instead of the 35v one that was included.

iFlight XING X2206 1850kV motors.  These look and feel great in the hand.  Very nice.  You'll notice a pigtail attached, I ended up changing the length later.

Finished.  There are Dalprop 5x5x3's on it in these pictures.  Not my favorite prop.  I use 6S Tattu R-Line V3 1300mAh 120C batteries and those are sweet indeed.

Dude that is a great restoration. That looks so sick with the motors color scheme.

looks awesome, nice details. A picture with those leds on would be great  Wink

Interesting detail on mounting wires and leds in the bottom side... away from props but closer to ground or trees... Thinking

Thanks ronin.

santi, I put the LED's on the bottom so spectators can see them. I tear up so much anyway, the ground is the least of my worries, hehe. No fear....
