Sometimes you don't have a need but a want.
My goal is to build something that is fast for no reason other than the sake of being fast and hyper agile.

Let me know what you guys think is a better frame, and whether or not I should throw some F80pros on here for the h*ll of it'

with this build I'm aiming for a 250g dry weight with a thrust to weight ratio of 20 to 1. I've managed to get it to about 16 to 1 right now.

nice! i like to see that build :-)

both frames seems good choices to me, buut i beleive there is an overall new and better one :-D
https://flyfive33.com/product/switchback/

or even more crazy just for speedagility would be the arx frame https://rotorbuilds.com/profile/1945
i guess its a lot tuningwork needed, overall not so practice friendly... but probably it doesnt need to be that?

nope - freestyle forever .. but the Velocidrone sim might've peaked my interest....but even more-so, it'd be interesting to cut through the sky as if there's no gravity or mass....

I like that flyfive33 frame --- I didn't see any sort of gopro mount mockups anywhere.... if I could figure out how to mount one for the occasional ravaging and recording I just might spring for it. It looks nice!

Hmm... I'm leaning towards the other two only because of the available print parts...

lol I like it Smile

I think the F80's would actually be unnecessarily big. Maybe some 2306's just so you can get some 5055's spinning up super fast Smile.

Even with the 2207's it is going to hammer.

Try to fit a GPS on it just so you can see the speed real time. The TBS M8 is nice and light.

I'm pretty Happy with the Xilo Phreak frame. I have had some intense crashes with it and not a scratch. I also have some 2207 2450 motors on a 4" frame. I had the same thought when I built it. I wanted to build a screamer and now its my favorite freestyle drone. And it's fast! Here's the thread to my build. You can get anywhere from 3" to 6" arms for this frame.

A cool freestyle move with that build is if you get like those kiddie popup soccer goals, then cut out the nets.  Then you can practice doing split-S's into it and just going through it fast.  If you got like 2 or 8, it's even better!  Super fun!  Big Grin Thumbs Up

do you think 16 to 1 thrust ratio is enough to be agile, or should I try and push it to 20 or 21 to 1 ?

sure it will be agile, overall less weight would go more agile than a higher power to weight ratio

New shoes came in today !!! I learned that these are top of line RCinPower Motors OEM. The finish and hardware is almost identical as well. I can't wait to fly these....

I took a few picts for yall. Should I do a youtube review of these motors compared to the F60 Pros I have?
