Restoring Mobula7 4.3.0 Factory Firmware Issue
#1
I tried restoring Mobula7 back to BF 4.3.0 with the factory firmware (betaflight_4.3.0_CRAZYBEEF4SX1280_official release.hex) from Happymodel so I can go back to ELRS 2. I also pasted into CLI the settings. But gyro disappeared. I also tried loading firmware online from BF. Still no gyro. Am I missing a step?

I read other folks were having issue with the official firmware download from Happymodel.

My Mobula7 has the X12 ELRS V2.1 with the BMI270 gyro sensor.

BMI270 requires BF 4.3.1 minimum.

Alternatively, you could try Quicksilver. Version 0.9.1 uses ELRS 2 and supports BMI270.

The target you would want is most likely:

Code:
crazybee_f4_elrs.brushless.hex

Thanks for the info.

The Happymodel firmware page had given me the impression that 4.3.0 supports BMI270. The reason why I'm trying to revert back to ELRS 2 is because my TX16s is having issues with the ELRS 3 lua script. It would hang. And yes, I'm checked "hundreds" of times that the internal module is on CRSF. https://intofpv.com/t-tx16s-w-elrs-3-lua...ot-loading

Is your X12 an SPI ELRS or Serial ELRS? HM makes so many damn versions, it's hard to keep up.

If it's SPI ELRS, then your choices are BF 4.3.1 or QS 0.9.1 (I run QS 0.8.4 dev (that uses ELRS 2) on one of my BetaFPV FC w/ SPI ELRS without issue). So it should work for you just as well.

SPI ELRS.

Just use 4.3.1 then if you are determined to stick with BF. You should be able to apply the default diff to it as the changes between 4.3.0 and 4.3.1 shouldn't be all that major. Wink You are moving between minor versions.

I use 4.3.1 on my Meteor85 with SPI ELRS without issue and on a Meteor75 I built on a 5A FC with SPI ELRS. You'll be fine.

I found the box and found the labels on the side of it. It does have the "updated" ICM42688P gyro. I found the correct firmware, got the gyro working, and flying again with ELRS 2.
