Recommended motors for a swordfish?
#1
Anyone care to post a list of what motor size/kv they'd recommend for use on the Atomrc swordfish? They list 2000kv but those are not readily available.
What would be a good balance performace vs power use?

Thanks!

they use a 2306 2000kv motor on 5000mah 4s battery on a 7045 biblade.

thats pretty much a common 5inch motor with a bigger blade on a bit lower kv.
you could choose the racing 5inch motor made for 6s, there are many 2207 1950kv-2100kv motors made for the use on 5inch and 6s. these might give simular results.

performance and power seems the same to me, can you tell it more precise?
did you mean between power and efficiency?

the motor suggestions are 2004 up to 2306 motors, not sure but maybe it cant handle too big motors or thrust.

a 2207 around 2000kv could be very versatile, it could be used on 4s and 7inch or for more acceleration performance on 5-6s batteries and 5-6inch rotors.

Thank you! you have totally answered my questions and explained it all pretty well. I think I can use these tips to build this plane out.

Thanks again!!!!!
