Reattaching wire inside a brushless motor?
#1
Ok so I made a dumb mistake and pinched my wires in two right at the motor body. I've never had one of these motors apart. How hard is it to attach new wires to the windings inside the motor?

I've got new motors ordered but is going to be 2 weeks to arrive, by then my available flight time will only be 2 days a week if weather permits, because itll be dark when I get home from work. (Stupid day light savings time)

What are the odds of successfully reattaching new wires internally?

Attaching at the winding is hard. You do have to remove the bell. If there is still some wire where it is cut, you can just attach right there. Just use the same gauge wire.

I’ve done this on 1104 motors. Having to reattach motor wires on that is about as hard as it gets. You will have to get the lacquer insulation off of the winding wire, in order for solder to take to it with either acetone or scraping it, just be extremely careful or you can cause a possible short.
