Picked up a mini PC to replace my old computer for my workbench which was a very old system. Really not needing a power house and have been impressed by the one I got for my Mom for her LR TV last year.  It's a Beelink Mini PC, AMD Ryzen 7 5800H 16GB DDR4 RAM/500GB M.2 SSD. Plays Liftoff with lower settings ok, Uncrashed played at decent settings. DRL I had to turn everything off and run at 720p or it was whining about running sub 30fps. Turning everything to lowest/low it runs really good, running YT videos in background had no effect so probably lacking in GPU. Pretty sure it's thermally throttled too since there is only so much room for the fan. Also tried running one of my flight videos from when my AOS5-o3 was running great before it got beat up in some crashes. Not that I did anything besides trim the end and slap a song on it but the render in Davinci Resolve was pretty quick. Didn't really get the PC for any of that but it's nice to see that a mini PC that was only $320 is somewhat capable.

Anyway here's a video:

Nice flying, I think you must have a special accord with your trees.

My son was just asking for a Ryzen 7 5800X cpu to upgrade his gaming PC. What kind of rendering speed are you getting in Resolve? I have an old GTX1060 on my PC, and the GPU acceleration does wonders considering its a cheap old card.

I'm too green with video editing I don't have much reference to go off of and this machine just arrived yesterday afternoon. My "main" build is from 2018 with an i5 and GTX1070 and I think it's been only slightly faster at 4k 3-5 minute clips. But all my clips are without any effects.

I've only rendered that one clip but I tried a couple of 4k variations by codec for test. One was 11mins the others were about 7 mins for that clip. I also was running YT and browsing the web at the time.

Not sure on gaming though if you need GPU, I'm sure you'd get better results on a larger build with a bigger HSF. But it choking on DRL where the old 1070 card plays all the fpv sims at max settings. But there are millions of games that I'm sure will run fine on it.

Well my son is supposed to be using his PC for more "productive" activities besides gaming, just trying to get an idea. I also have an i5 and on my 1060 get 4k rendering upward of 30fps with some color effects which I am pretty happy with as it was so much slower on my older CPU even had trouble scrubbing 4k (guess it was a good thing it quit on me).

lol, I can relate to this - my son is also a gamer, just got him a new video card for Christmas, was an RX6600, the AMD stuff has come a long way in recent years...   There is high range, mid range and low end cards. The real value is in the mid-range cards I reakon.  It has shut him up, for now...

Nice rip servo, powerloops on point and the backflips over the fence were sweet.  Thumbs Up

I don't keep up with trick names but if I were going to name that one it would be Fosbury flop.

haha, was this the AOS3.5 build? Seems super smooth, you have tuned it well.

That was an AOS 5" o3 version. Only tune was master multiplier set to 1.4 to 1.5, never get around to tuning beyond that on most of mine.
