I currently have the Radiomaster TX16S MKII Transmitter (w the built-in 4-in-1 module) for my new build running Betaflight; I will most be cruising & flying freestyle. The only piece left to purchase is the receiver and the appropriate transmitter module. I need the transmitter module, as I want to run ELRS.

WTBS, I’m considering purchasing the RadioMaster Ranger 2.4GHz ELRS external module COMBO bundle. The COMBO bundle includes:
- Ranger 2.4GHz ELRS Module
- Ranger Micro 2.4GHZ ELRS Module
- Ranger Nano 2.4GHZ ELRS Module
- 2.4GHz T Antenna
- 2.4GHz Moxon Antenna
- 2x RP1 ExpressLRS 2.4ghz Nano Receiver
- 1x RP2 ExpressLRS 2.4ghz Nano Receiver

I was just wondering if anyone can share any insight/exp on this setup. Being that this is my first build, what else would I need to look into to make sure everything is going to be compatible with this setup and work properly?

And being that I do need a receiver, this combo comes with 3 of them. But what is the difference between the RP1 ExpressLRS 2.4ghz Nano Receiver and the RP2 ExpressLRS 2.4ghz Nano Receiver?
Is one more preferred than the other?

I don't think you can go wrong with RadioMaster ExpressLRS hardware so it seems like a good choice to me.

The RP1 receiver has a proper external "T" antenna. The RP2 has a built-in ceramic antenna which has limited sensitivity and range. Only use the RP2 on micro quads that you fly at close proximity.

Depending on the size aircraft you are putting these on, I would also consider slightly larger receivers with PA/LNAs (for higher telemetry output and better receiver sensitivity) and/or true diversity receivers. The BetaFPV Nano and BetaFPV SuperD are good options, although other manufacturers make similar receivers.

That will actually be a next post coming after I've used the stock antennas for a bit.

I am open to any input as far as upgrading the antennas goes.

A complete answer to the question would be really long. Write what you actually want to use the quad for, under what conditions?
