As long as the R9MM is getting a 5V power supply then you will be able to bind it to a transmitter. First, what version of OpenTX do you have installed on your X9D+? You need at least version 2.2 for the R9 system, and I would advise installing the very latest 2.2.3 release version. You can find that HERE. Second, what firmware do you have installed on the R9M module and also the R9MM receiver? The firmware needs to match. I would advise that you install the latest version of the FLEX firmware on both. You can find that firmware for the R9M module HERE (190117 dated 2019-02-13) and the corresponding firmware for the R9MM HERE (190201 dated 2019-02-13). Once you've updated all OpenTX and the firmware to the latest versions, try again and if you still get an issue, post back here and we will try and provide further help. Dear friend, As you tell me I flashed everything with the latest firmware(yours link, thanks a lot). The rx With the flex firmware(no F.Port). Attached you can see the rx with green led on but if I switch off the tx this led stay on with green colour(without tx signal the rx's led would be red??.....so I think something goes wrong... On betaflight I can't see the movement of the tx. What do you think? Thanks in advance • Posts: 12,098 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 Something is wrong if the light is staying on green. I suggest you reflashed and rebind. I recently has a receiver that got a bad flash. It took me days to figure it out. • Posts: 144 Threads: 15 Likes Received: 27 in 21 posts Likes Given: 41 Joined: May 2019 Reputation: 1 (13-Jun-2019, 08:22 PM)SBLAUS Wrote: Dear friend, As you tell me I flashed everything with the latest firmware(yours link, thanks a lot). Hold button while plugging in the receiver. You should see blinking red light indicating that you are bound. Get out of bind mode on radio. Unplug and replug receiver. You should see solid green light. I think you may have gotten mixed up with who's posting voodoo, I believe brnmd was asking SBLAUS to make a video of him binding so we can see if he's doing anything wrong. • Posts: 12,098 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 14-Jun-2019, 02:05 AM (This post was last modified: 14-Jun-2019, 02:07 AM by voodoo614.) I wasn't sure who he was referring to. Regardless, at least there is a video on how to do it correctly. Good news on the R9MM issue Rather than polluting this thread with other issues that are not related directly to the R9MM, I suggest you post a new thread describing your problem in the Hardware -> Flight Controller section and someone will then try and help you. • Posts: 10 Threads: 0 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 1 Joined: Jun 2019 Reputation: 0 24-Jun-2019, 12:46 PM (This post was last modified: 24-Jun-2019, 12:52 PM by canicant.) Hi, I'm having a similar problem, i have flashed the R9m and R9mm fport and the X9D+ will bind with a solid green light and i get all stick movements in BF The problem i've got is that if i leave it for a minute or so the R9mm unbinds and the led turns red, if i unplug the battery and reconnect it still binds OK but back to it flashing red after a short while. I used the FW linked from this thread and 2.2.3 OpenTX on X9d+ Anybody got any ideas or is the RX faulty? Cheers Rob. • Posts: 545 Threads: 28 Likes Received: 135 in 101 posts Likes Given: 94 Joined: Oct 2018 Reputation: 6 (24-Jun-2019, 12:46 PM)canicant Wrote: Hi, I'm having a similar problem, i have flashed the R9m and R9mm fport and the X9D+ will bind with a solid green light and i get all stick movements in BF The problem i've got is that if i leave it for a minute or so the R9mm unbinds and the led turns red, if i unplug the battery and reconnect it still binds OK but back to it flashing red after a short while. Only then I would go an look for firmware/software issues. • Posts: 10 Threads: 0 Likes Received: 0 in 0 posts Likes Given: 1 Joined: Jun 2019 Reputation: 0 (24-Jun-2019, 01:58 PM)brnmd Wrote: I would first check all the connections, maybe it's a bad solder joint. On another forum a user has posted a video with the exact same problem and he had to get a new rx and a refund from the retailer, so i think i might have to do the same if there is no other logical explanation. This is his not my video from YouTube but mine is doing exactly the same. • Posts: 12,098 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 (24-Jun-2019, 09:57 PM)canicant Wrote: Thanks for the reply Bruno, i have just swapped to new leads and re soldered the connections but the problem remains.
