I've got a tuning question up in the tuning clinic, but wanted to ask this separately. After a new fresh build, I have decent motor oscillation on mid to high throttle. I've checked logs, but my question is, is motor oscillation something that is tuned out with filters, or pid tuning? How do you tell the difference between a bad tune, and motor noise?

28-Jun-2018, 12:36 PM Motor/electrical noise will come through (usually) as twitchy jumps to the quads attitude, where a poor pid tune may have bounce back, wobbles, and oscilations in certain maneuvers. If you are only experiencing oscillations at mid to full throttle, try turning up TPA a bit and see if that helps. 28-Jun-2018, 01:50 PM (28-Jun-2018, 12:36 PM)Drone0fPrey Wrote: Motor/electrical noise will come through (usually) as twitchy jumps to the quads attitude, where a poor pid tune may have bounce back, wobbles, and oscilations in certain maneuvers. Thank you sir! Have been looking for this answer for a bit with not much luck. |
