Hi all, I have a new build that when I arm and touch on the throttle, the drone just goes crazy and crashes (tumbles flips etc) It is an Omnibus F4 Pro using a 30A ESC's (called Quadracer), EMAX 22005S and FrSky XM+ I have the latest firmware on the FC and ESC and running DSHOT 600, checked motor and prop direction, reset and centred the top and bottom end throttle, have even dropped on BLHELI Ok so now I am lost and have been googling and fiddling for days :-) I could not upload the BlackBox or TXT cli dump. Cheers all and thanks in advance ! Possibly check channel and/or motor order, FC orientation as well. To be honest I don't really know just some quick brainstorming. One of our pros will be along shortly I'm sure. Good luck man, hang in there Posts: 4 Threads: 1 Likes Received: 7 in 3 posts Likes Given: 0 Joined: May 2017 Reputation: 1 (07-May-2017, 06:29 AM)RENOV8R Wrote: Sounds like your flight controller may be mounted incorrectly' Is the arrow facing forward? Was going crazy on google before I posted, even sent a photo to my mate of my props mounted to make sure I wasn't going crazy ? Love it Speaking of "props", you know about our rating system? You can use the little thumbs-up "Rate" icon on the lower left of a post to give a member some well deserved "props". I know if a quad goes into instant "Tazmanian Devil" mode, it's usually board orientation. Glad you got it works out. Now if only all fixes were that easy.................... That's what it's there for! I didn't think it would be possible. What does orientation fuck things up when the quad isn't supposed to keep itself lvl. It should only go sideways when I want to make it go forward. At least, that's what I thought. I hope this is my problem too. Basically forward is sideways. How and what do I adjust to fix this, I tried some different things but it didn't work. • Posts: 2,410 Threads: 136 Likes Received: 1,790 in 1,052 posts Likes Given: 3,302 Joined: Jan 2017 Reputation: 50 (17-May-2017, 07:47 PM)laziegoblin Wrote: Mine went crazy too. You have to change Board Orientation in your configuration. We can be more specific if you tell us what firmware you are using and what exactly you've tried. The more info, the better. • Posts: 61 Threads: 6 Likes Received: 18 in 12 posts Likes Given: 16 Joined: May 2017 Reputation: 2 17-May-2017, 08:48 PM (This post was last modified: 17-May-2017, 09:53 PM by laziegoblin.) I fixed it by changing Roll degrees and yaw degrees https://gyazo.com/8a1984172e68eb4491a99b33a7cc51ca But, when I do this moving the throttle on my transmitter up makes it roll. ( Example <-- Here I'm moving the throttle.) All of this is my first time so apologies if I don't include enough info. Transmitter is Taranis QX7 Only basic stuff set up. 2 switches and the joysticks. Edit: I smelled something burning when it was freaking out, but after taking the props off and plugging it into the pc everything seemed to work. (including motors) I hope I didn't already kill it. Lazie You should only change yaw unless you have also mounted the flight controller upside down. If your channels don't behave as they should, change the channel ordering. You have it set to "AETR1234" but it should be "TAER1234". Some more reading and watching some basic introductions to Betaflight/Cleanflight on YouTube would really help you understand things. As your craft isn't set up properly yet, you should not put propellers on it until you have checked that everything is working as it should and is configured properly. Then you can put props on, go outside and try flying. Oh, and knock it off with the gratuitous four letter words please, this isn't an adults only site. I expect a filter if using such words is a problem. That being said, I'll try to remember. Secondly, do you have a suggestion to fix it? Top is right, right is bottom, bottom is left and left is top. I don't really know how else to change the orientation. I've been scouring the internet to piece things together since all of the parts are new to me and I'm never sure where the problem could be. (Transmitter, quad, settings) Thirdly, does AETR1234 mean Mode 1 and TAER1234, Mode 2? Lazie • |
