Hello folks,

need a quick help in figuring out how to avoid problems while connecting FC and ESC, coming from two different vendor:

FC                     ESC
gnd                   vbat
vbat +               crnt
vbat +               gnd
crnt                   nc
#4                    #1
#3                    #2  
#2                    #3
#1                    #4

crnt, gnd and motors are easy to figure out but FC has two different vbat+...Am I free to connect vbat coming out of ESC to either one of those two or does it make a difference?

If there are two VBAT connections from the FC then you can connect either to the ESC.

If you want us to double check the pinouts/specifications then just let us know which FC and ESC you have.

Yes, I can confirm that you can use either of the two VBAT connections on the FC.

Just for the reason that the X-Tower ESC that normally goes with the X-Tower FC has two VBAT outputs. Either to just "fill" the spare pin on the 8-pin connector, or to provide slightly more current if required but an FC shouldn't really need that, so it is probably the former reason. Both VBAT connections will be internally connected together on the circuit board so they are both essentially the same connection anyway.

You're right. Original X-Tower ESC went literally in pieces after a hard crash and three pads completely teared so I had to figure out to use the survived FC ;-)

Glad I found this almost inexpensive piece of hardware even if I am not totally sure about its quality :-)
