printing quad case/insert for backpack with props on?
#1
Anyone created/modeled/printed a quad case/insert for backpack (with props on) for a quad for when travelling?    Wondering if you had any links to 3d prints/STLs/models?   Any feedback on how this went?

Considering looking at trying to design something up and print.  I would be larger than my Ender 3 build area so would need to be multi-print with joints I guess.  Effectively a 3d printed insert to put into a case to hold a quad like in this link (see below), but rather than out of foam using a 3d printer.

Quesitons:
a) use flexible/TPU filament with infill of 10% perhaps?
b) any tips/ideas re how to create multiple pieces that join together?  (using Fusion360 - guess I'll google for making joints on youtube re Fusion360)

You could buy a hard case that is big enough, and cut your own inserts for it.

Or use a company that creates custom cases and inserts based on your needs.  I have use some in the past to create cases for my guns for me to take on planes when traveling.

Something like this :

3D Printing an entire case might make it kind of heavy. I think injection molded plastics would probably be a better material. and Foam on the inside to keep it light.

while start to read i mentioned none of my buddies has such a large print bed xD
i believe connected like a puzzle would work well on tpu.

i dont have a link or use something by myself. i beleive the rotors increase the size that much... its sh... for practice. i dontuse them either, but foldable gemfan props could be an option.

i believe there isnt precise-shape needed, but it would be pretty stylish :-)
the best way might be like the examples in fpv backpacks; they just need a centered "strap" option.
