They've said since the first major delay that KS backers will be compensated for waiting. This is probably how - free FPV.Connect for everyone (maybe even more ...). I'm guessing the "bundle deals" will be limited in time... • Posts: 4,731 Threads: 392 Likes Received: 3,231 in 1,827 posts Likes Given: 3,214 Joined: Apr 2019 Reputation: 101 08-Nov-2019, 06:34 PM (This post was last modified: 08-Nov-2019, 06:34 PM by the.ronin.) None of these features in and of themselves are a real wow factor but put together as stock features in a goggle ... wow. Now I see why FS has completely gone silent on Byte Frost development. There is no possible way I would spend 150 more for these when they are garanteed not to focus 100% that is absolutely critical feature to have. I just watched every review orqa and they screwed up by removing that feature and charging us 650. No way I would buy these over FS without that feature that they omitted. These are obsolete to me already. Powerful marking but no thanks. Orqa decided that the complexity and weight were not worth it. However, they do have slots for the regular FS as well as custom prescription diopters. FatShark removed the diopter slots in favor of the adjustable focus on the HDO2. That makes the HDO2 "obsolete" to me, because I can ONLY use custom diopters. No amount of adjustable focus will take care of my vision. OK so maybe the adjustable stuff works for 90% of people. Orqa's will will work for 100%. • Posts: 2,416 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 1,861 in 1,175 posts Likes Given: 3,315 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 74 Now this is what you call the "personal touch" • Posts: 2,416 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 1,861 in 1,175 posts Likes Given: 3,315 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 74 Another tid-bit of information from the Orqa Owner's Lounge FB group: • Posts: 2,416 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 1,861 in 1,175 posts Likes Given: 3,315 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 74 10-Nov-2019, 09:38 AM (This post was last modified: 10-Nov-2019, 09:59 AM by sloscotty.) So much going on all at once now, it's easy to miss some juicy tidbits. A brief exchange between a FB guest and Orqa (regarding FPV.Connect). "ordered a few thousand" !! And another - regarding the new website. • Posts: 2,416 Threads: 51 Likes Received: 1,861 in 1,175 posts Likes Given: 3,315 Joined: Mar 2016 Reputation: 74 10-Nov-2019, 06:47 PM (This post was last modified: 10-Nov-2019, 06:48 PM by sloscotty.) So how have all these FatShark pilots been flying all these years without adjustable eye-relief? The only goggle that had that feature previously was the Eachine EV100, and I bought a pair of those and they didn't work for me. (They also left out the diopter slots, which meant those goggles were useless to me as well.) I don't disagree that it is a nice feature, but FS crippled it (for me) by taking out the diopter slots. • Posts: 473 Threads: 105 Likes Received: 54 in 41 posts Likes Given: 33 Joined: Aug 2018 Reputation: 0 (10-Nov-2019, 06:47 PM)sloscotty Wrote: So how have all these FatShark pilots been flying all these years without adjustable eye-relief? I just bought a fatshark attitude v5 (my first slim googgles). Before reaching it here, I was so afraid that it will not focus (my old box goggles don’t focus well) But once reached, it focused very well. No issues it all. Not even blurry edges. So clear. So I am just saying, focus adjustment may not be a show stopper.
