Hey all,

Just received my "new" F4 Pro V3.

All looked good at first  sealed static proof bag with solder pins etc.  
Plugged it into the computer to check functions and found that it had already been given a craftname "DarkMax".

Googled this and found Furibee Darkmax references but the darkmax uses a black coloured FC whilst the one I received is the regular Omnibus blue colour... I'm confused...

I emailed the seller (ALiexpress) and asked about the name and he was only interested in whether I had received it (DUH!!!).

In any case... has anyone else found craftname already set on an apparently new Flight Controller?  Have I received a refurbished FC?

When you buy a clone, anything is possible. Yes, omnibus are usually blue pcb board.

I like the Omnibus series but don't buy from Aliexpress or Banggood unless you like waiting weeks for iffy products.  Ready to Fly quads has a full line of genuine tested Omnibus FCs and they are in the U.S. and ship fast with great support.

Thanks for the replies everyone.  I'm guessing since the FC works I shouldn't complain.

btw... I'm in Australia so the US based sites won't be economical for me shipping wise.
