No OSD of VTx menu
#1
I’m almost done with my first plane FPV build. I have a ZOHD Orbit that I got a long time ago but never did anything with it. I’m now back into flying and I’m wanting to do FPV. In the plane I have a Matek F411-WTE flight controller with a Matek R24-D Rx. The camera is a Caddx Ratel 2 and the VTx is a Rush Tank Solo. I’m running iNAV. Everything powers up fine. I see OSD info from the FC but I can not get the VTx to enter the OSD menu by moving the transmitter sticks like it describes in the manual. I’ve even looked at videos online of people entering the menu mode and I try to move the sticks exactly like them and nothing happens. Any suggestions on what I could try differently. FWIW, the picture is actually pretty nice. I’d just like to be able to control the VTx. I’ve tried adjusting the baud rate in iNAV for the peripheral that it’s connected to but that didn’t do anything either.

Some stick control settings have to not only be moved to, but held for a few seconds to "engage", is that it?

I tried holding the sticks in the correct position for a number of second onwards up to a minute and still nothing. I just tried it on my Meteor65 tiny whoop and it went into the menu mode right away. At least I know that it’s not me or the transmitter. I’ve sent an email to Rush so now I guess I’ll just have to see what they say. Kinda frustrating but oh well.

i havent used the stick overlay in a long time, but i thought the overlay was from betaflight and not the vtx? or does rush have some special overlay they use. i only ask because stick commands arent seen by a vtx as far as my understanding goes.

edit: i said betaflight but i believe inav has the same OSD, but the stick commands may be different, but the overall concept stands, that the fc does the overlay and not the vtx.

I found out what the problem was. I accidentally entered the wrong channel layout in the receiver tab. Instead of AETR I had EATR. Once I corrected that everything started working just dandy.
