I need you to check for continuity from the FPORT pad to the legs on those chips. I think you will get continuity on one of the. C04R chip. If that is the case, I can give you where the likelihood the non-inverted F. Port signal is.

The C265 chip is a SN74LVC1G126 single bus buffer gate (datasheet HERE) so that's not the inverter. It's effectively just a switch. The C04R chips are SN74LVC1G04 inverters (datasheet HERE), so one of those will be where you will ultimately need to tap off the input leg for to get the uninverted FPORT signal. We just need to work out which one of the two chips it is with some multimeter tracing.

A = (uninverted) input
Y = (inverted) output

so I will need to cut that leg free free of the inverter and solder in a wire that jumps over the chip and solder that into the output?

No. You will just solder a wire onto the input leg which then goes direct to the TX6 pad on the FC, thus bypassing the inverter chip (i.e. you won't then be soldering anything to the FPORT pad). So no cutting or modification is required.

I think I can see where you've soldered the (a black?) wire, but my eyes aren't quite as good as they used to be. Can you please confirm that you've soldered it to the middle pin ("A") of the C04R chip on the left in the photo below, and possibly post a closer up shot square on to the board.

You'll have to disregard the wire colors, the black is being used as a signal wire and the white is ground. Yes the black wire is soldered to the middle pin. I'm gonna have to hot glue it in place cause it's not very strong

Thanks for the confirmation. This will certainly help others who face the same problem so we can now just direct them to this thread.

Can you please also post a fresh CLI dump so we know what settings are working with this wiring mod. I'm sure it's the ones I originally gave you but it would be good to get a definitive dump to be 100% sure.
