Never charged NiMH battery packs on my ISDT Q6 Lite before and just finished charging this Speedpack Dynamite 1300 mah 7.2V 6-cell pack.  It is hot as heck!  I can carry it and it is not smoking or puffing (do these even puff?) but certainly hot.

Battery type in the ISDT was set to NiMH/Cd; -DeltaV Detection (??) left at default at 8mV; cell count automatic; and current 1.3A.

Is it normal for these NiMH packs to get so hot?  I have not tried them yet I want to wait for them to cool down.

Slow charge rate is C/10. Or 1300mah/10 = 130mah
Fast charge C/3.33 or 1300mah = 390mah
Super fast at 1 C or 1300mah =1.3A (recommend temperatures monitoring)

Yes, pretty normal behavior for NiMH/NiCD batteries. Even trickle charging will cause them to get warm.
