Build log would work, but I guess not that many of us are building just now, so that might exclude quite a lot of people.

I actually had an idea for a challenge that I would post here, although I'm not sure if there's any way to make it into a contest... plus it can be a bit dangerous too Let's see:

So the challenge would be to try living a life from a third person view. How does it work:
1. You need whoop style quad. Anything else is way too dangerous.
2. Stand up. Put on your FPV goggles, take a radio and fly the quad behind you.
3. While keeping the quad flying behind you and you being in the camera view, just live. Go somewhere. Try to walk through a door. Around a corner.
4. Don't hurt yourself. Have someone around to guide you, warn you about obstacles etc!

I tried it at home, it's so heckin' difficult to just walk. But it's fun I think it could produce some pretty funny video materials of us making fools of ourselves. But I don't know how could it be judged from a contest point of view.

Ok, here's an idea.  

On the Long Range Hooligan page they were doing a 1 mile challenge.  It has now grown to a 5 mile challenge now.  I know even a 1 mile range might be difficult for some, so maybe for us it would be a 1KM challenge, or 500M.

The challenge is pretty simple.  You go the set distance out and then back the launch point.  Fastest time wins.  

It requires the quad have a method to capture the distance, etc. i.e. GPS into an OSD DVR.  That DVR recording is the proof.  

Quads only, or if wings are allowed, they compete against other wings only.  No limits or class sizes for quads.  Big or small they run together.

I think a contest where it's easy to participate, regardless of skill-level, and all participants are eligible through a random drawing. No likes/votes required.

Could be a photo contest (take photo of all of your quads together). Recent build log (not posted before). Short video (your own or a favorite). Some other FPV-related forum contribution...

Could be anything - main thing is if you have a qualifying entry, your name gets thrown in the pot.

I like it!  I'm sure there are members here who are just starting out and are still flying a Hubsan 501S or similar entry level quad, doesn't mean they don't love the hobby any less.  Make it so everyone has a chance!
