65 First, welcome to the forum!
To your issue, without knowing what your setup consists of, there is no way to know what is happening. Is your quad's VTX WiFi? Most radios are 2.4ghz and the radio can interfere with WiFi based. You can switch your channel and see if the issue is lessened.
Again, welcome!

31 11-Apr-2018, 05:50 PM (This post was last modified: 11-Apr-2018, 05:51 PM by Carl.Vegas.) Hi and welcome!
Yeah, I think it'd be helpful to know which radio, which VTx, and which goggles/VRx(if modular) you're using.
If the two are interfering it's likely that they're working on the same frequencies but that seems strange unless it's wifi as Kaitylynn points out above. I know that some pilots use the 2.4ghz bands but that's a little more rare and usually more advanced folks who are looking for long range or penetration.
Alternatively... if you have any way to see if your radio interferes with other goggles, and vice versa that might help to at least troubleshoot if it's your goggles accepting unexpected interference or if it's the radio giving unexpected interference...
edit: you posted between my start and posting of my message lol...
hmmm... interesting. So a TBS with a QX7 radio... If it's happening especially with motors, are you sure that your attempts to separate the radio from the goggles is actually clearing it up as much as you think? Realistically I can't think of any reason that signal being sent from the radio would be significantly different when the quad is armed than when it's not.

1 Hi Carl,
In discussion with others, we are going to swap out the VTX and check if still occurring.
Will send the result.
Just very frustrating when enjoying FPV.

388 Welcome. You are saying that when someone holds your goggles, you can fly 30m away and the video is fine.
You also mentioned that video is bad when motors are running.
These are two different issues here. VTX runs on 5.8Ghz and should have any interference with Taranis running 2.4ghz. On the other hand, motor noise causing video issues is a common thing. I can help you with video noise. How are you wiring everything up? Are you using cap?
