new to fpv, need advice
#1
Hi all,

I'm new to the fpv world altough not new to drones (Mavik etc.. not the same at all I know  Tongue )
I bought the DJI fpv HD v2 goggles and the Tango 2 in order to use with this drone : https://www.banggood.com/IFlight-TITAN-Chimera7-LR-320mm-SucceX-D-F7-V2_1-50A-BL_32-ESC-6S-7-Inch-Long-Range-FPV-Racing-Drone-BNF-w-or-2806_5-1300KV-Motor-DJI-Air-Unit-HD-Digital-System-p-1749131.html?akmClientCountry=JP&cur_warehouse=CN&ID=6230838

Although before to use it I wanna practice on a smaller drone (which I could also use for inside environment).
After some research I found this one which looks cool : https://www.banggood.com/IFlight-Green-H...mds=search

My understanding is to make it works with the Tango I need the TBS crossfire Nano RX, but as for the goggles I have no idea.
The camera isn't the DJI air cam so I'm guessing I'll need some additional receiver on the goggles.
Any advices, is it possible ?

The drone you have listed on Banggood has a THS Crossfire option which will be compatible with your Tango 2 Transmitter but if it is running analog it will require an adapter and an analog receiver.

And I would also point out that it is a 6s quad which will require a very large indoor space for a beginner.

There are 2S digital whoops available nowadays with a vista unit and crossfire that can be better for indoors flight and also some outdoor flying in low winds. Something to consider.

I would personally recommend you start off on a simulator and then after about 10 to 20 hours fly an actual quad.

Thank you for your answer. So with a Caddx Vista I will be able to connect to the DJI goggles without anything else required right ?

As for the space I live in the mountain so I guess I'm alright with the outdoor space Smile

Indeed talking about the simulator, it is my intention to spend as much time possible in there before to fly.. Not willing to waste money on a broken quad !!

Yes, the Caddx Vista is compatible with the DJI FPV goggles.

Just fly in an open grassy field away from trees and man made structures for the first few flights.

Keep within reasonable altitude and distance away from objects.

When starting with the simulator, jump straight into acro mode. You can crash as many times and you just reset.

Thank you for your answers ! Do you have any good simulator to advise ?
Also if you don't mind I have a few other questions.
I don't have much knowledge about lipos but I notices the plug can be of different type (xt30, xt60, xt90). if the plug is different from the drone/charger, putting an adapter would be enough right ?

Now hesitating between both those chargers : [/url]

and as for the lipos this one for the Flight TITAN Chimera7 LR

Should all be compatible right ?

Gal Kremer has posted a review on this quad today and should answer some of your questions:

The batter connector seems to be an XT60.

Hota’s are good chargers but ISDT or ToolKitRC have some good offerings worth looking at.

I would stay away from URUAV lipos for anything larger than whoops.

I have not much experience with simulators but I did practice in Liftoff for a good 10 to 20 hours after destroying my first 3d printed quad repeatedly (a couple of years ago) Smile Once I was stable in the air, I never went back to the sim.
