So I got a Tinyhawk 2 Freestyle a couple of years ago. It was great until I lost it. Finally got around to replacing the drone itself, and I'm trying to bind it to the controller now.
I think I got it bound; at least the goggles are receiving video from the drone. However, I cannot get the motors to spin up.
I also download Betaflight configurator, and I cannot get the motors to spin up from there either.
Being quite a novice, I have no idea how to even begin to troubleshoot this. Any tips?
Thanks!

First off, the reason you can see the image in the goggles is because it's an analog signal and the Emax goggles (I'm assuming this is what you have if this is the Bind and Fly kit) auto scan to find reception. Your issue is the tx (transmitter/controller) and rx (receiver/on the flight control board on the drone) are not binding. I believe you'll have a tiny bind button on the tinyhawk's flight control board that you'll have to press and possibly one on your controller as well. Here are some instructions you might find useful:
Binding is the process of uniquely associating a receiver to a transmitter module. A transmitter module can be bound to multiple receivers (not to be used simultaneously). A receiver can only be bound to one transmitter module. 1.Hold the bind button for 2 seconds while the flight controller is already on. When the RED LED is flashing, it means the receiver is in BIND MODE 2. Turn on the transmitter, make sure it is set to D8 mode, and then set it into bind mode. When the BLUE LED on the flight controller starts flashing, it means bind successful. 3.Power cycle the flight controller and take your radio out of bind mode
I recently learned that you have to have a battery plugged into the quad in addition to the usb to the computer before the props will spin in Betaflight. It's not enough power coming from the usb to spin them.
Hopefully this gets you in the right direction.

0 @skamtastik thank you, yes you were right about the batteries, I was able to spin up the motors that way, and thanks for the info about the goggles, spot on.
So the issue is the binding then. I've followed different sets of directions and they're pretty much all the same. I've done that several times. The directions you pasted are different in that the lights that are supposed to be blinking are different; on mine the red one is always flashing. Other than that, everything acts as it should.
I'm at a loss here. Any additional help would be appreciated!

0 I figured it out!
After watching some YouTube videos I realized that for some reason the channel mapping can be different. So the mapping on my new Tinyhawk were completely different that the default. Pretty much all the mappings were incorrect, including the "arm" command. After fiddling for a few minutes I figured out the correct mappings.
For future reference, this is the video that helped me:
Cheers!
