Kamizaze/Wraith Mini BLHeli_32 - 25A 2. TBS Bulletproof BLHeli_S - 25A I have not played around with the Wraith32 ESC's much, but LOVE the TBS on my current build. They just look and feel, as the name suggests, bulletproof. Opinions? I have the ESC’s already. This might help...will be using: Xnova 2206 2450kv motors CL Racing F4S v1.4 If my post helped you...hit the RATE button. • Posts: 5,322 Threads: 673 Likes Received: 3,159 in 1,747 posts Likes Given: 2,032 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 139 In this case, of course the BLHeli_32 ESC's you can use DShot1200 with them, regardless whether or not you can tell the difference from DShot600 Being able to use ESC Telemetry is also a good addition. • Posts: 947 Threads: 66 Likes Received: 350 in 248 posts Likes Given: 164 Joined: Apr 2016 Reputation: 34 • Posts: 12,099 Threads: 125 Likes Received: 3,739 in 2,836 posts Likes Given: 99 Joined: Feb 2017 Reputation: 388 Either one will work fine. Eventually you will have to use them both. I would make the decision on what FC I am using. For example, if you have limited UARTS, and cannot wire up ESC telemetry. Better to use BLHELI S in this case. Or if your FC doesn't have current sensor, but you want current reading, using BLHELI 32 will give you that. Size of ESC is also something to also consider. Which one fit better. Otherwise, I doubt you will notice any performance difference. If you didn't already have these, I would always buy blheli32. Just for the latest and for future proof. • Posts: 164 Threads: 16 Likes Received: 50 in 41 posts Likes Given: 48 Joined: Jan 2018 Reputation: 5 So it seems 32 wins The Wraith32's I have are version 1, so I'm a bit concerned about using them with the F4S with regards to the whole "roll of death" problem caused by noisy ESCs. (Reviews indicate that they aren't very noisy, but v2 came with more onboard capacitors to lower the noise) Safest would probably be to cap the ESCs, but that kinda defeats the purpose of "mini". These are the Wraith32's I have. They are TINY!! Will they be OK for use with 2206 2450kv motors? Also, looking at the pads on the bottom, which one would the telemetry be on? (Can't find any documentation or my google-foo is bad tonight) If my post helped you...hit the RATE button. • Posts: 5,322 Threads: 673 Likes Received: 3,159 in 1,747 posts Likes Given: 2,032 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 139 This pin. • Posts: 947 Threads: 66 Likes Received: 350 in 248 posts Likes Given: 164 Joined: Apr 2016 Reputation: 34 15-Mar-2018, 11:37 PM (This post was last modified: 15-Mar-2018, 11:37 PM by oyvinla.) Personally, I would even bother with telemetry as it doesn't look like they have a current sensor • Posts: 5,322 Threads: 673 Likes Received: 3,159 in 1,747 posts Likes Given: 2,032 Joined: Jan 2016 Reputation: 139 Yea I agree with OYvinla, the only thing you get to see is just RPM and temperature which is pretty pointless at this point of BLHeli32 development, because you only see an averaged number and not 4 numbers for each ESC... doh! • Posts: 164 Threads: 16 Likes Received: 50 in 41 posts Likes Given: 48 Joined: Jan 2018 Reputation: 5 16-Mar-2018, 07:59 AM (This post was last modified: 16-Mar-2018, 08:00 AM by xcalibur.) I didn't even notice that it doesn't have a shunt. Like you said, not really worth wiring up telemetry then. Thanks Oscar! Seeing as the Wraith32 mini ESC's don't have a current sensor, I won't be able to use the current limiting feature and the 2206 2450kv might fry them. Any thoughts on this motor + esc combo? Am I safer going with the TBS Bulletproof 25a? This is all Xnova has on their site for my new motors: So with T5045 they will be pulling about (42A * 0.7) = 29.4A (reducing by 30% because of bench vs. in-air) The TBS ESC's have 30Amp burst (<= 10sec) which should be fine, but I cannot find the spec sheets for the Wraith32 Mini 25A and cannot confirm what their burst capability is.
