Need help with Taranis QX7
#1
I recently bought a Taranis QX7 and after setting it up I’m having an issue I hope you can help me with. I fly quadcopters and went to set up a model profile and in the outputs page I went to set my endpoints so that Min Throttle is 1000us-1500us mid point-2000us Max Throttle, and typically on ALL the taranis qx7 I’ve seen in the past start at -100 min and 100 max and when you calibrate using betaflight you end up around -97 and 97. My QX7 came stock with a setting of -512 min and 512 max. It’s on every single channel, and I end up around -500 min and 500 max after I calibrate my end points. These high numbers can’t be right, and I can’t for the life of me figure out why it’s doing this. Please help? Thank you so much in advance!

Have you done a stick calibration on the TX?

I have done a stick calibration. When I first got the radio it had an older version of OpenTx on it, so I flashed the newest version of OpenTx, put a lua script on it to adjust my PIDs and settings, and calibrated both models I have set up. One for Freerider simulator and the other for my quad.

Sorry I misread your post the first time. I wonder if they changed this in the updates.

Is there someone on this forum that would know about the new OpenTx update possibly? I'm completely stumped on where I could even find this info or someone to talk to about this issue. Debating on reflashing my Taranis to see if that fixes it but don't want to if there's an easier explanation, I appreciate your help voodoo614, I'll take all I can get at this point! lol

I was looking through the change log but didn't see any mention. One big change is, when you bind, it ask if you want 1-8 or 9-16 with or without Tele.

I flashed my Q X7 last night with OpenTX 2.2.1 latest stable release. I see the same -100 to 100 range in the Output page.

I also noticed the tele question on binding. What does that do and what do i need to know to decide on a choice?

My taranis x9+ is also like that after updating to 2.2 before it was 100, now it is 500. Don't now why but it works just as before so I really don't care too much

Pick 1-8 Tele if you want your channel to start at one and Tele.
9-16 if you have a second rx you want to bind.
