Naze32 FYSky Telemetry sharing USB port
#1
Wink
The drawing below shows FRSky telemetry sharing the UART 1 USB port.  Does this work?  I assume you cannot have both active at the same time.  It does make sense because you don't need telemetry when you are connected to your computer and you are not connected to a computer when you are flying.  How do you switch between USB function and telemetry (SmartPort).  If I configured UART 1 for smartport and rebooted I assume I could not communicate to that port w/o a complete bootloaded reboot. Also if this does work I guess I need the non-inverted output on my FYSky R-XSR.  I have this working connected to softserial but I want to enable the LED function at the same time.  You can't have softserial and LED enabled at the same time.

I don't think Frsky telemetry is the same as S. Port telemetry.
Anyway, the tutorial for writing sbus and S. Port to F1 board.

My advice, for the price of two Starbuck cup of coffee, buy yourself an F3 FC. Makes your life easier. F1 is now legacy hardware. BF and pretty much CF have dropped support for F1.

voodoo614. Thanks for your response and all you do for this forum. I am very familiar with Oscar's post on this subject and have referred to it often. It does not help with this specific question though. I am in the process of upgrading my fleet to F4 FC's. Turning out to be more of a challenge than I thought. With the help of you and others on this forum I hope I will get through it.

Your question is to use both USB and S. Port to UART 1. If you want to try it, I would wire S. Port to UART1 TX. I believe that the FC automatic select whatever comes first to use. If example, if USB is plugged in, then S. Port will not work. Or if you plug lipo in first, the USB port will not work.

If is safer and likely more reliable to do what Oscar guide suggested. Sbus on UART2 and S. Port telemetry to a softserial.
