Motors stuttering - Is my gyro bad?
#1
Hello there,

after having renewed my build with new motors T-Motor VELOX and FC Racerstar & Airbot AirF7, I few days ago I decided to take it on a field for a maiden flight and some lite PID tuning
Unfortunately, almost since the beginning I started having intermittent “jerks” here and there, while simply cruising around.

Sadly I brought my build back home and decided to have a look into blackbox explorer to find some clues.
While reviewing the log, I noticed a few suspect spikes on Gyro + PID yaw values.

After a brief research I read those symptoms I'm having could be related to a defective gyro, is this right?

Below I provide log for anyone who want to help me :-)

Thanks!

Yes sir, a LOW ESR 35v 470 mf provided with the very same ESC.

Have you noticed something wrong?

Yaw twitch usually is noise related. I usually run 1000uf on a 5 inch. Not sure what size quad you are using.

Maybe one of the residents Blackbox guru here can help you filter out the noise. The other thing to do is increase the filtration in the PID using the slider.
