Motor Cuts out at 1400
#1
Hey guys,

I have a new Mobula 7 and one motor seems to cut off and twitch out at around 1400 on throttle test in betaflight and bheli. This all happend after a crash or two. Wirong seems fine. I plugged in another motor to the same pin and it does the same thing. Im thinking its the FC.. any suggestions?

It might be the ESC. What ESC protocol are using? Try Dshot600 if you are not.

Well its narrowed down to ESC or motor or FC

If you need a little guidance here is one way to troubleshoot:

Not trying to be condescending but PLEASE remove all props when testing Smile Its easy to get in a hurry and forget to pull the props

1. Just unsolder the 'problem' leads from the FC, move a 'good' set of leads from another arm and test. If that solves the problem, that rules out the FC and further testing is needed. If that does not solve the problem, it is the FC....it needs replaced
2. If the FC is OK, Replace the motor. If that does not fix it put the old motor back on and...
3. Replace the ESC.

It is possible that both the ESC and motor are both bad not usually

I prefer to first meter each 'arm' at the FC. All 4 voltages should be similar, if not, them something is wrong in the FC.

it is likely the esc. since the ESCs are build-in, you might be out of luck. looks like you already rule out motor.

I would at least double check to see if any SMD component is missing.
