Nope...your suggestion of SmartAudio was actually the wake-up call we needed to go and check which protocol the Forward VTX Mini actually used. HGLRC seem to refer to "Smartaudio" in all their documentation for some bizarre reason but actually use IRC Tramp. So if that isn't confusing then I don't know what is. I have the "V2" version of the same VTX, so I went and checked.

I looked at their manual and they mentioned nothing. Why would a manufacturer make their consumers guess. But I already know the answer. A lot of these companies don't care. Anyways, I not a big fan of HGLRC.

I have no experience with other suppliers yet
Because I am new to the hobby
documentation is often bad with producers and you have to go a long way to get the right answers (take Runcam!)
Fortunately they are all not resistant to the " sherlocks "of the fpv forum!
