MK1 Tanto

In light of everyone posting their Ronin MK1 builds, I feel it's time to post mine as well. This is a very light frame and shows when flying. My origional intention was to make this a 6S HD build but after flying with 4S batteries, I feel that 6S might be a little ridiculous. This thing is fast and nimble. Great little freestyle frame.

Build Log:

Frame: Ronin MK1

Motors: T-Motor 1507 2700KV (6s)

Flight Controller: Diatone Mamba F722 Mini HD

ESC: Diatone 40A 3-6s

VTX: Caddx Vista

Camera: Nebula Nano V2

Props: Emax Avant Skimitar

Reciever: TBS Crossfire Nano

So I really like the room in this frame. I fit the vista no problem. The TPU files were a nice touch and I added a Insta 360 Go mount since this camera does give the best image.
I'm not the type of person to try and keep things under 250 grams and it shows in the pictures. Nothing against it just don't care myself. I used race wire on this build because these motors were from another build and the wires were too short but i really like the look of them.  This thing flies nice. Its fast. Really fast.  I will try it with the 6s batteries i bought for it but 4s does not disappoint. I still have some tuning to do and this fc doesn't have an sd slot or on board flash so no black box. I hate that. Can't wait until this component shortage is over and we can buy what we want instead of settling for what we can find.

Rant over here's a video.

Thanks man! I like this frame a lot. Very responsive to stick movements. Just got my 6s batteries today. Hopefully I'll have time to try them out tomorrow.

Yeah default everything. I get a little oscillations with full throttle punches but that's about it. I cut some of that stuff out to shorten the video. This flight was about 7 min long. I've made some slight changes in the p/d balance and raised them a little. Lowered the filtering. Made a world of difference. I might raise the rates to my normal 800. Thanks for the reply.

dont adjust the pids to much :-) you will probably like 6s xD awaiting your impressions and vids.

if you get into tuning trouble on 6s, it would be than an emuflight candidate in my use :-)
(not sure how digital fpv works with emu? would this work without downsides? osd...)

Point taken. I only moved things one notch with the sliders. Definitely flies better. I have used emuflight with HD and it works fine. The osd is limited like everything else but you get the basics like battery usage and rssi.

I'm curious! did you reduce the P compared to default values ?

Maybe i'm wrong but i think i can se a little of bounceback on rolls in your videos.

Lovin your build and lovin that its digital ... but man I am still blown away by how good your Insta360 Go footage is. Mine sucks so bad with jello. I've been inspecting your mount very closely too.

Nice build!

You have plenty of UARTs, just pick up an OpenLager for the blackbox logging:

That's actually the DVR footage from the Caddx Vista. I haven't actually recorded off of the 360 go yet. That's not even the best image man. The DJI camera has a much better image. By the way, that's what I see when I'm flying. Just saying.   Cool

I did a little and raised both just slightly.  I noticed the bounce back when I would do snappy flips and rolls. I'm still working out kinks but don't want to move any more until I fly with 6s batteries.

I have thought about that. Never used one so don't know much about it and if it will add much weight. Don't have much room left under the hood either. will definitely look into it though. Thanks for the link man!

So I got some 550 GNB 6s batteries for this drone and have been having a lot of fun at work with this thing the last two days. Nothing fancy juist some fast rips along the street in front of my work. Enjoy!

Nice work mate. How is the 550mah pack? Flight time good? I got some bonka 550 and 700 mah packs for my build but I’m wondering if the 700mah might be a bit heavy.
