Mini Whoop
#1
Hi,

I would like to build a Whoop but im not sure where the best source is for hardware and although I can find out a basic list of part required I don't really know how to choose what to buy ie most up to date FC, what propellors, lipos etc.....

Any help would be appreciated.

NewBeeDrone has some nice stuff. Their new all in one stack is pretty great. And their Cockroach frame.

BetaFPV has some nice prebuilt stuff. Some nice batteries. A nice 1S charger. They have a shop on Amazon if you like to shop through them.

RakonHeli has some expensive stuff. Like aluminium frames.

The budget route: Eachine E010S and Batteries/charger.

Also here are some videos: Tiny Whoop Stuff by Derek and his Drone and

These 2 are good to watch.

I like the FuriBee frame.  It is tough enough for learning and light enough to fly well.

Motors are readily available.  I have found that spending a little extra on the motors means a little quieter drone.  I like the SpinTech motors a lot.

The real question is FC.  I have tried a few of the pricey ones, but they last no longer than the cheaper ones.  I settled on the Eachine Micro F3 as it has a pretty good layout and they hold up well.

The camera.

Add in some 31mm RakonHeli props.

This is about all there is to building these.
