Meaning of battery alarm
#1
Dear friends,
one of my 350 mA 1S batteries for the Mobula 7 even when fully charged makes the whoop beep with the same sound as "battery discharged" alarm.

I do not have goggles nor OSD so am left clueless.

If I immediately land and put in on the charger it shows an healthy 4.35V.

Any ideas on what could be the cause?

Thank you

Can you please run both the "dump" and "diff all" commands in the Betaflight Configurator CLI tab and copy/paste the results back here.

Do you have an Android phone? If you do then you might want to consider getting one of the following as it can help you with troubleshooting things on the bench, or out in in the field. And you will also be able to see the OSD on it...

1S batteries are really prone to sag. As you draw from the battery, the voltage will drop. On brushed whoops this is really pronounced. I used to have a UK65 that went from 4.2 to 3.7 the instant you armed. As soon as you took off it went down to 3.4. This effect is decreased the more cells you add, which is a big part of why a lot of pilots are migrating from 4S to 6S. You get that fresh battery feeling right up to the point that it falls out of the sky.

So yeah - I wouldn't worry too much. You can set up the voltages you want the alarms to go off at it Betaflight to make it more useful. Probably better for someone else to give you advice on what you should set them to, however. I haven't flown a whoop in ages!

The ground is for dead people.

Thank you I have found out that what you write is true :Smile have a 2.9 low voltage alarm for. my 1S cells and when it beeps and I land quite immediately the battery measures 3.7 or 3.6.

But THIS single specimen beeps immediately while all other "brothers" give me a 3-4 mins flight time with the very same settings (I am still in the hover in acro and just a little to and fro in front of me).

Please accept my commiseration for being an Apple user Big Grin

There is also this inexpensive FPV monitor. I have no idea what the quality is like but the reviews seem to be reasonable...

Eh eh commiseration accepted. I feel compelled to say to. lessen  my guilt that my Mac and iPhone are provided for free by my company Smile

When vacations end, if the bank says I can Smile I think I'll order my first simple goggles. Have been suggested that monitors are really to dim to see them better in the field (but maybe good as you imply just to debug the quad)

Thanks
