23 Hi All....
Was doing one last LOS flight before switching to FPV and the quad went over my head and the sun got in my eyes and I could not see where it was going.....only thing I knew was that my daughters car was in line with it's last known flight path....so I just cut the throttle. When it came down it landed on the terris (brick) and looked like it hit pretty square on it's feet. Looked at it and didn't see any damage, but when I started the motors one of them started a little jerky and made a bit of a scraping sound. Upon further inspection it appears as though three of the magnets were jarred loose and have slipped down and are touching the bottom housing. Can they be glued back and if so, will regular old epoxy do the trick? Thanks guys.

8 12-Jul-2016, 11:56 PM (This post was last modified: 12-Jul-2016, 11:56 PM by HamsterFPV.) The guy in the video uses CA/superglue, I've used this myself for sticking magnets back in motors.
Current quad: ZMR 250 / DYS SE2205 / Littlebee 20A ESCs / Drone Lab 1500 4S / Naze32 Rev5 / BF 2.7.1

0 I've had luck using super glue. I've heard that epoxy is the "real" way to do it. Not having any I used superglue and have not had any problems. Just be careful not to loose the little clip that holds the motor together. Putting it in a ziplock Baggie does help so you don't loose the clip. Good luck man!

23 I thought it was a bit odd that three adjacent magnets loosened up at the same time, but it did take a rather hard jolt. I was a little concerned that I might experience some balance issues after gluing them back, but apparently not. It seemed to work well...don't know how long it'll hold up, but for now it's good. It's an easy fix so it is well worth doing it as opposed to replacing the motor. I just gave it a quick test after it was repaired.....didn't have time to do any "real" flying after it was fixed as I was getting ready to leave to go on vacation. Started to bring it with me, BUT I am up in tthe mountains and it would be WAY too easty to fky it over a cliff somewhere never to be seen again....so it stayed home. : (

16 If you got your motors from innov8tive, they honor the 2 year warranty on the motors. I just sent back 3 of them and they sent me new ones.
