Led Lights always on and can't change color Scimitar 110 Please Help

Hello, hope everyone is doing well under the circumstances that were all in. I'm new to this forum and relatively new to the fpv hobby but not new to flying rc airplanes. I recently acquired a Blade Scimitar 110, just to practice fpv flying. The issue that I'm having are with the rear 6 led's . The led's are annoyingly super bright light yellow color. The problem is that they're constantly on, and for whatever reason I can't turn them off or configure them using the Betaflight configurator. I did some searching on this forum and found something similar with a member that was configuring the led lights on a Scimitar 170 and somehow messed up that lights that cause his motors to stop working. My issue is a bit different I guess my motors work on my Scimitar 110 its the led light. With the lights constantly on its chewing up more battery life than it should. Please pardon me if I'm posting this in the wrong area. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm at wits end and don't know what else to do. I will include the dump file . Thank you in advance

IDK how those drones are wired... sounds like the LED's are just powered directly without the flight controller.

Can you take a picture of how the LED's are wired? If you can't shut them off in betaflight, then my guess is that you have to remove them to get them to not turn on. Maybe someone else is more familiar with this drone.

If it has ruined motors before then it sounds like they're attached between the motor and the ESC..... But IDK, so send pics for me, or see if anyone has experience with that drone.

Hmmm..... that is a RTF or BNF if I ever seen one. Who knows how those LED's are attached, but it DOES seem ot be attached to the flight controller, so you SHOULD be able to just shut them off in betaflight.

What issue are you running into when trying to shut them off in Betaflight?

LEDs draw so little current that it's highly unlikely they are chewing up any noticeable amount of battery capacity. Maybe the LiPo's you are using are past their best.

have you tried switching off the LED_STRIP feature in the Configuration tab of Betaflight Configurator?

Hey guys first thanks so much for the response & help, BlowSmoke , yes that’s exactly the drone it’s a BNF. When I go into the led configuration window of BetaFlight and try to change the color , I click on the wired tab, set the numbers, then save it and nothing happens. I don’t see a turn off option so I was trying to select black as a color to at least minimize the brightness and the same thing happens which is nothing. I previously had removed the shell and noticed that the 6 led’s are on a small vertical strip 2 on top, middle, etc. and from what I could see it’s wired into the FC. I purchased new batteries for it. Using a Venom 3s 450mah. I was just wondering if due to the light being steadily on that it will cause the LiPo to discharge faster, but thanks for the heads up Snowleopard. I give it a try and turn off led_strip in the configuration setting. I got to a frustrating point we’re I was just going to cut the led wires, but I really don’t want to do that if I can help it. I don’t really know how to interpret a dump file but I did notice that my dump file makes no references to led’s. I’ve seen other dump files that have been posted and they all had references to led’s. I don’t know if this means anything with the issue I’m having.

I was able to turn off the led lights by unchecking the Led_strip feature that worked! I'm just wondering then why the led settings don't take when I try to change the colors frustrating.

The LED configuration isn't the most logical or intuitive interface to use so that might have been why you couldn't get the LEDs switched off using that. If you want to understand more about how to configure LEDs and how the interface works, have a read of Oscar's article at the link below...

Thank you Snow for the read, it was very informative. I tried applying what was instructed exactly as it was stated and unfortunately it didn't work Sad I'm just wondering while I'm doing all this does it matter if i have my transmitter on or not? Also when i click save i can see that it is saving. It shows in the upper left of the screen eprom saved as I clicked the save button but nothing happens. I tried connecting the battery to see if the added power triggers the led's but nothing. I'm thinking it states that where you place the Led's on the grid doesn't matter but that the wiring order does. Does this mean that every number I place on the grid has to match exactly how the 6 led's are wired to each other? If this is the case I'm at a lost because the led's were installed at the factory. When I removed the shell I saw that 3 wires were connect to the end of the small 6 led strip. This 6 led strip is actually one small piece will all 6 on one vertically placed strip

Similar issue (or maybe not) I have a single RGB wired to the FC's led pads and get nothing...not even the standard white color. I can't find any specs on this led beyond that it's an iflight brand...the listing mentioned 5v in the title but in a weird way.
Like in the middle of a sentence it would normally not fit into.

Even stranger is that it shares the 5v lead with the buzzer (as instructed in the FC's diagram) yet my buzzer works perfectly!

I have the Scimitar 170 and can access the LEDs through the OSD.  The half throttle - left rudder - down elevator procedure will let you configure the lights.  I think the stay full on when in Race mode.  Have you tried changing this?  Or, if I wanted to kill mine totally I can just unplug the lights under the outer plastic covering.
