Kiss Ultra FCFC V2
#1
I set up an analog Apex with this flight controller and wired it with a 60amp hobbywing esc. Wow ! The quad flys amazing and feels locked in. Anyone here ever fly kiss ultra ? I liked it so much I set up a digital Apex with the ultra v2 and it flys great too.

I was planning to get a KISS Ultra for my Apex 5" frame but I got fed up trying to deal with all the BS around supply of the FC's and seemingly needing to be part of an "exclusive club" in order to get your hands on one, or having to pay 50% more to some scalper. When the developer can be bothered to get his house in order and ramp up production to a reasonable level where you area able to get hold of one much easier and don't have to wait months for the next batch to be manufactured and then join the bun fight yet again to try and get to checkout before they all sell out I might show some interest again. But until then, I'm out.

I hear you Snow. Maybe once they get to a higher production run then more people would be able to try it. I personally am not in any group or affiliated in any way with anyone. Pyrodrone listed it had them in stock so I purchased two. Three months later they had them again so I bought another one as a spare. I went on the discord from the kiss gui and asked questions about setting it up and was amazed at the support I received and once again not a dime spent. I really wish more people could have a positive experience with Kiss as it flys outstanding and the set up was simple compared to Betaflight for example and tuning from the OSD on the fly makes it great.

Snow I’d sell you this brand new Kiss Ultra fcfc V2 sealed and shipped for what I paid because you have helped me in the past and you’re a great help to the fpv community. I think you’d be amazed at how this sets up and the community behind it also. Maybe it would help stop some of the misconceptions people have about this flight controller or its ecosystem.

How did you wire it up? I was planning on building one with a 4n1 and one with single ESCs but haven’t seen much on using them without the kiss ESCs.

I agree that once you figure it out it is a lot easier. But trying to get my rates translated over is proving tricky.

I really appreciate the offer but I've now moved on from the (over) hype train surrounding the KISS Ultra FC's, so I no longer care about them. Even if I was to get hold of one, I would still end up in the situation of having to join the exclusive club / bun fight trying to get a replacement if something happened to it, which would then put my quad out of action for who knows however long. I have a Betaflight FC and BLHeli_32 ESC in the parts box waiting to go in it now.

I wired it up to the BLheli esc and made my own cable with a kit from Amazon. I can post pictures if needed. The second build I used a fettec 45a esc and used a standard cable and repined the fc end for Ultra. I’d suggest you get a kiss V2 fc for the individual esc set up. I have a new one I’d sell you for what I paid.

If you don’t mind, I’m a visual learner for this type of stuff. (both builds as I have that as well)

I do have that same esc and some kiss boards lying around. I appreciate that offer but I have 3 Ultras, 2 v2s, and a v1 still needing to find a home. If I can wrap my head around what you did I’ll switch some of my lesser, beat up stacks with these. I really do like KISS, but only have 2 Fettec KISS boards, and I could do without Fettec. Especially that Alpha junk (can’t figure that out either, but I’m in no hurry).

Thanks
