Jumper T18 Question
#1
Hi all. I am just getting into Fpv and bought an iflight nazgul5 v2 for my first drone and a Jumper T18 for my transmitter. The Nazgul I purchased comes with the xm+ receiver. I recently learned about accost 2.0 and how it affects receivers binding to non-frsky radios. The xm+ on the Nazgul comes flashed with version2.1.2. I did some research in multiple forums and some people told me that as long as the jp5in1 module in my Jumper is up to date with the latest version I should be able to bind to the Xm+ running 2.1.2 out of the box. Is this true because other people say that I will no matter what have to downgrade the firmware on my xm+. additionally, I found a Jumper T18 FAQ video by painless 360 and one of the questions is if it will bind with ACCST 2.x.x. He said yes it would as long as you are not running version2.0 because apparently that has an encryption. is this true? I really do not want to have to take the receiver out of the quad and flash new firmware. here is the video:
.
Thanks to anyone who can help!

FrSky removed encryption from ACCST 2.x.x after a lot of backlash from the community. That is how the Multiprotocol developers were then able to reverse engineer it and include it as an additional protocol in the Multiprotocol modules. ACCST 2.x.x support was added to the Multiprotocol module firmware with an identifier of FrSkyX2 back in April 2020 for the version 1.3.0.79 release (see the release notes HERE). So any version of the Multi-protocol module that is >= 1.3.0.79 have support for ACCST 2.x.x receivers.

That answers all of my questions. Thanks so much! I thought that I was going to have to downgrade all my firmware and have to do a bunch of soldering. I guess I was looking at older forums where people were saying that the only way you could get it to work was to downgrade firmware.
