Jumper T-Pro Transmitter
#1
It appears that Jumper are preparing to release a new transmitter called the T-Pro. Not many details available yet but some of the pictures below speak for themselves. Do any of the parts on it look familiar to anyone Thinking Whistling It's like a cross between the TBS Tango 2 and the DJI Controller V2 for the DJI FPV Drone.

It seems that it will be shipping with an internal 4-in-1 multiprotocol module OR an internal 900MHz ExpressLRS module. It's not yet clear yet if there will also be a version with an internal 2.4 ELRS module, so we will just have to wait to find out.

If any more details surface then I will post them back here.

EDIT: This is the video that the still images below appear to have been taken from --> https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1Gv411u7Gm

I think it looks awesome but I hope it have 2.4Ghz. I think the majority of the ELRS community uses 2.4Ghz

I have now added a link to the source video in the first post.

If anyone is proficient in Chinese then maybe they would be kind enough to transcribe some of what is narrated in the video and post the information back here.

This seems to be my future portable Tx, it looks very good at the first sight. Thumbs up.

They are definitely taking lessons from the TBS Tango 2.(and not trying to hide it) Which is probably a good thing, as I personally love the Tango 2.

Looks like the only thing they didn't copy was the ability to turn the antenna vertical.

And that can be a problem for serious LR.

It actually looks more like the DJI Controller 2 than the TBS Tango 2, but we all know where in inspiration for the DJI Controller likely came from.

The only things reminiscent of the Tango 2 is the 3 thumb buttons, the scroll wheel, and the screen. Everything else including all the buttons on the back and the way the antenna folds down on the back is almost exactly the same as the DJI Controller.

I do wonder if TBS patented the way that antenna on the Tango II can be orientated either vertically or horizontally which is maybe why the other two transmitters don't have that same feature.

They better work with the ELRS guys and get this right the first time for an internal 2.4 GHz module.

Most info can be deducted from the pictures & video, to call out some pieces:

Hall sensor gimbals
2S 18650 batteries, no need for power mods for TBS and other external modules
Planned protocol options: 4in1 only, ELRS, 4in1 + ELRS, etc. No mentioning if the ELRS is 2.4Ghz or 900Mhz.

The pre-order price is 666 RMB (~100USD), free carrying bag and gimbal protectors (not sure the pre-order is world-wide or China only, and whether the final retail price will be the same)

They actually planned to launch the pre-order on the 25th but because of the supply chain issues, it was delayed. Now it's TBD.

Also note that the person who uploaded this video seems not an official Jumper rep, but appears to have a strong tie. What's shown in the video is a prototype from the manufacturer, in the comment section, he claims the final product will have a more polished look. Some people have put comments below that video about ELRS 2.4GHz, metal gimbals, etc, not sure how much of that will be forwarded to Jumper.

Do not expect anything to make it to you before the end of the year with the global logistical issues and Christmas orders.

Everyone needs to write them and demand ELRS 2.4 internally

I'm looking for small, postable transmitter for fliing on a trips in nature. Just put into bagpack some water, snacks, small radio, small drone and two Lipos. But all small radios are seriously ridiculous. Those without display are useless, because config/binding throught flashing LEDs is hell. Angry All other trying to implement ridiculously small display... Booth ways are useless.

Damn... after all, it is the year 2022(almost)! Speedybee can config flight controllers from smartphones for more than two years, why this cannot be implemented into transmitter? Do you want to add new model? Or modify config in field? Just grab your phone, open app, set everything you want and upload via wifi/bt into tx. HW for this is cheaper than display, buttons all the jewelry around... Huh

The Jumper T-Pro is now available for pre-order at a price of $109 USD, but it has an internal JP4-in-1 module and not an internal ExpressLRS module that it was originally hyped to have. Maybe there will be another model of the same coming later with an internal ELRS module but there is no word on that yet. It's quite possible that Jumper have dropped the idea of using integrated ELRS in their T-Pro transmitter. Below are some renders of the finalised transmitter design.

I'm fine with it being 4-in-1, to be converted to ELRS. 4-in-1 with ELRS would be ideal. ;-)

I'm currently on Jumper T-Lite and would be happy to jump. Yet my current radio unit seem to be pretty solid, without major issues and I've heard a lot about quality (or lack thereof) of these radios.
Having said that - I worry what quality would I get with this new Jumper?
