iNav 2.5.2 SmartAudio to Atlatl HV micro VTX failure
#1
I am not sure if this is the correct forum to post this in, if not please move it.

I'm having no success controlling the VTX band, channel, and power level using smart audio on this Holybro Atlatl HV Micro.
I'm running iNav 2.5.2 on a Matek F411-WSE. I have the Smartaudio input to the VTX connected to "ST1" on the FC and have Softserial1 configured with the Periferal set to "TBS smartaudio".
I can successfully get in to the CMS OSD with stick commands. From there I can navigate to Features-->VTX and can modify band, channel, power level. When I then use set and confirm set, nothing changes on the VTX, although the OSD displays the new values.
Has anyone successfully used SmartAudio with this VTX ?

@VooDoo614,
First off, THANK YOU for replying. I have this same question posted in multiple forums, and you are the first to reply!

OK, you will need to guide me here a little bit.

"turn the vtx feature on?" Where exactly is that done? It might be that simple, but I was not aware that iNav required it.

"Can you post a dump?" I am more than willing to do so, if I know what you are looking for. Is this an iNav dump, or something else? Either way, what is the basic process to perform the dump so I can post it here.  OK, I figured this one out. The dump file is attached.

Sorry if both of my responses appears to be "common knowledge", I obviously do not hold that knowledge.

got to CLI any enter the following

Code:
feature VTX
save

I don't know where you turn that feature on in iNAV, but in betaflight, it used to be in the configuration tab. I see that it is not turned on in the dump file. it is worth a shot.

Thanks for the pointer, but that did not fix it  Sad

I can set it and VTX will show up as a feature, but as soon as I reboot, it disappears from the list.

Two things to try if you are game.

1. try a normal UART TX and not softserial. (this to ruleout softserial as the problem)

2. try Betaflight and see if you can get the SmartAudio (this to ruleout iNAV as the problem)

I ended up replacing the VTX. I replaced the Holybro Atlatl - HV Micro with an RDQ Mach 3. I made no other changes and it just worked!
That says one thing, the Altlatl is advertised as supporting SmartAddio, but it DOES NOT.

Sometimes it is difficult to track down the problem. Have you try Tramp IRC protocol. Sometimes VTX are mislabeled.

Good you got it working.

I had tried Tramp because I had read that Holybro had supported it previously, but it didn't work either.
