Brain Trust:

I recently bought the iFlight Succex Mini F4 from Race Day Quads to replace a problematic FC with my "Reptile Cloud 149" cinewhoop. I'm using a DX6 and the Spektrum SPM 4648 imcro receiver.

As of today (6/27) I'm still trying to get this receiver to talk to the FC and having no luck at all. 

Reciever's bound to the DX6. I'm following wiring instructions as provided by Race Day Quads. I've tried about every setting I can think of in Betaflight. All connections are good, and after spending hours going online to find solutions, I'm back to ground zero. 

Has anybody had luck getting this receiver to work with this flight controller? If you have, I'd sure love to know how.

I assume you soldered power to 3.3V (not 5V). Did you plug in the battery while connected to Betaflight?

How did you wire and can you post a dump file of your settings.

Yes to 3.3V. No to plugging in the lipo. All I have for right now is the receiver attached to the FC, and the FC is connected to my PC for Betaflight. I haven't set up the ESC board as yet.

I used the wiring diagram from Race Day Quads-https://www.racedayquads.com/collections...c-35a-4in1. If you go to the tab marked "wiring diagram" you'll see that it's actually laid out very well, but in my case the FC is not seeing my receiver. 

A video from Spektrum had some information about using the receiver with Betaflight, but that video was done in August of 2019, and obviously things have changed since then. 

The Spektrum guy actually said to hook up signal to the UART TX pin instead of a R pin on the FC board (which is counter to what the wiring diagram shows). I tired that using TX2, but still nothing. Another suggestion was to try TX6, but there's nothing in the documentation or on the board to indicate where T6 is.

So, that's where I am. Once I figure out how to do a dump, I'll send it on.

Well, it should be an RX pad for that receiver. Also, I've had some boards that don't power the 3.3v rail plugged into USB. Had to hook up a lipo first.

You have a solid orange light on the receiver?

Before you rewire, you need power from the lipo while connected to betaflight.  The 3.3v rail is not powered by USB. At least solder the battery pigtail to the esc and attach the esc to the fc.

Also, have you configured your Ports tab in BF to identify the Uart that you are attached to as Serial Rx? Then in the Configuration tab selected the spektrum provider under the Receiver section?
