Discussion I'm doing my first real community giveaway with the help of HQProps and Others !!!

Hey Everyone, I am doing a community giveaway, and I wanted to let people know about it! Now I know we're mostly cinematic pilots, but if you're like me, you enjoy a mix of cinematic, long range, and freestyle...


I've put together a giveaway and reached out to multiple companies in our space to see if they could help out in any way, and suprisingly, a few agreed to help! I don't profit off this giveaway, I don't have affiliate links, and it is really just a giveaway for the community.

Hopefully this doesn't offend the mods, but if I need to reword this or post this differently because I broke a rule, charge this to my head and not my heart. I hope you all take part so I can give you some free stuff!!!

I'll try for the Matty Flip week, but no promises. Can't do any of the other stuff yet and rewinds are far beyond my current skill level. It's good you are giving away stuff. Hasn't been any real competitions or giveaways since IGOW last year.

I'd play but it would take me longer than a week to get enough flying time in to learn each move and I don't do instagram, tik-tok, facebook, et al. No youtube either, posting anyway, since it was bought by google. Yeah, I'm a bit of a curmudgeon. <shrug> Maybe I'll try and play along "at home", as it were... I need new moves.

Ditto all of that, you are not the only one that's happily curmudgeonly 

...hmmm, there has to be some brainwhiz out there that can/could cater to this much neglected & growing sub group of "potentials"...

To learn some of those tricks is beyond the scope of most pilots. Rewinds being the major one. To learn to properly rewind is something you might learn if you had interest in the SBang style, or were looking for an overly awesome trick you could rip out that would make people envious of you. But to learn to rewind is very hard, I would say harder than some of the inverted tricks and you need a really torquey build on 6S to exploit the ability to stop mid air on a dime. To learn it you need to be putting in maybe a couple of hours a day to learn it, either in sims or in real life. Matty flips are about the only one I would attempt and even then i still don't have them down as well as most people.

I also don't do Insta for the most part or any of those other Gen Z apps. Even FB is a place i hate and avoid if I can. The handful of places I regularly go can be counted on my hands.

I definitely don't consider myself an advanced pilot and part of the joy of this competition is that failed attempts count as entries !!! It is about the journey
