How to improve flight quality
#1
Hey

I am in a learning phase and don't have a lot of time to fly if i can get a saterday and a sunday with my 5 packs the week is succesfull.

I got two drone's i learned quickly that you have always one broken after a crash so back-up is good.

Both run on omnibus F4 and both have racerstar RS 30 A ESC

One frame is a Lisam 210 the other a QAV 250.

I had them first on racerstar BR2306s 2700, DAL cyclone 5046 props

I prefered the Lisam frame it seemed more nimble, seems logic its a smaller frame.

Then I smashed to racerstars motors on my Lisam and replaced them with DYS samguk 2206 2400 ( one DOA, ?)

And that seemed to be a step backwards, i still prefer the racerstars with the QAV frame. Did I get the wrong motors ?
OR am i just an ingorant and should I sit it out to appreciate lateron after havind more skill.

Or should I fiddle with the PID, that seems a very scary thing to me.

2306 2700kv vs 2206 2400kv. The 2306, in theory, should have more top speed and torque. So yes, you might be seeing the difference in power between the two motors.

Without your description on what you feel is different, I am only speculating the above. PID will help you get a smoother feeling quad (reduce oscillations) and allows you to tune it for more locked in or loose. You can do a lot with PID and D setpoint, but it can't replace power and torque.
