How to enable Betaflight Airmode? |
17-Jan-2016, 10:57 PM Air mode... pls help me. 1. I need DISABLE - motor stop? 2. I need setup min throttle...? How? 17-Jan-2016, 10:59 PM 1.1 Yes you should disable it (my opinion). Config tab right top there is motor_stop. 1.2Then assign a switch with ARM and one with AIRMODE ... you can put it on one stick too nowadays. 2.1 PROPS OFF 2.2 Calibrate ESC's from 1000 to 2000µs 2.3 Go to the motor tab, activate testing. 2.4 Bring every motor up to the point where it spins reliably (you can click on a slider and thatn work with arrow keys for precision). 2.5 Note the value 2.6 The highest value (in my opinion + 20) is you min_throttle My motors spin at about 1046/47 ... my min throttle is about 1070 to have some inertia left. If you go to low the motor could stop spinning when you fall down. When they spin nicely (no stuttering). Then this value +10 (or +20) You should end somewhere between 1050 and 1100 I love to share and help people! This will cause your quad to bounce as you come in for a landing so in order to mediate this, hover your quad an inch or so above the ground and disarm. 05-Apr-2017, 04:19 PM I am running KISS FC, programmed as per the Rotor Riot tutorial for programming the Taranis and D.C.. From what I am understanding, Air Mode is enabled as soon as I arm. When I am my quad, my rotors start spinning, which also allows for control, at zero throttle. With that being said, I don't experience the " hopping" that other people seem to be talking about during landing, I am just curious, i think I understand why the "hopping" occurs, does it have to do with the PID controller compensating for the quad hitting the ground ? And why do I not experience this with the KISS FC..........not that I am complaining, just wanting to understand. Thanks DZ (05-Apr-2017, 04:19 PM)DannyZ Wrote: (...) Yes it's just attitude compensation, means when one side of the quad gets pushed up, the motors on the other side will spool up in order to keep the quad in same attitude. You could probably make it happen with higher P and I-term... it was also possible before airmode was introduced 06-Apr-2017, 05:34 PM Thank you for the explanation |
