Do you see a solid red LED on the RadioMaster R81 receiver?

Can you please run both the "dump" and "diff all" commands in the Betaflight Configurator CLI tab and copy/paste the results back here.

Please also post some good clear photos of the actual wiring and connections between the RadioMaster R81 receiver and the flight controller.

Can you tell us what this "VR" head set is? Because a real VR headset isn't what you use for FPV..... I'm guessing/hoping you just used that term "vr" arbitrarily.

Do you have betaflight? Can you send a dump file maybe? Sometimes binding a remote is tricky and just takes a few tries, or various kinds of tries.... ie, bind with radio off then on, or both radio and drone on, or one off and turn on while binding etc.... Usually there is info on specific radios and what the process should be.
'Ignore' is the route word of Ignorant.

Thanks for you help I have successfully got the drone flying I have a fatshark headset I'm learning to fly now I have been really busy and sqeezing in time to set up betaflight is it better to learn in angle or acro I'd rather learn acro but is it too soon? I have managed a few flights and landings and minor movements on angle mode in my garden but it's not enough space. Should I learn acro and not bother with angle? Ps thanks so much i would never of figured out what to do without this forum and the members

The sooner you fly Acro the better it is for you.

You could practice in the SIM for about 10 hours and then go out to an open field and do real life practice.
