Yet another newcomer...
Acquired a DARWIN FPV BABY APE V2 PRO with ELRS rx the PNP type. Can't find anywhere which elrs device is installed. On power up I see a red blinking led on the fc which is a Iflight f411 pro. Also a yellow double flashing led. As supplied by unmanned tech fpv in the UK.
I need to bind to a Radio master Zorro ELRS which has an internal elrs module.
No way can I do it. I can bind the Zorro to a betafp micro ELRS rx after flashing the Rx with latest elrs firmware with my bind phrase.
I can't flash the babyape elrs Rx because I don't know which device to select in elrs configurator. Tried betafp nano Rx but that failed to flash.
Can anyone tell me how to proceed please?

I’m a bit confused, and need a bit more information to help you.

If you bought the PNP version, this is “plug and play” which means it does not include a receiver, and you need to supply and install your own. If this is the case, what ELRS receiver did you purchase?

If you bought the ELRS version of the baby ape pro, then this comes with the DarwinFPV 15A ELRS aio, which has a built in spi based ELRS receiver.

That board has an spi receiver, which means you can’t flash it separately. Spi ELRS support is baked into betaflight, so you’ll have to install the correct betaflight version in order to make the spi receiver on the aio match the elrs version that is running on your transmitter. (Betaflight 4.3.x for elrs v2.x, betaflight 4.4.x for elrs v3.x).

If flashing the latest firmware allowed you to bind to your other ELRS receiver, then you are likely running ELRS v3.x on your Zorro, which means you’ll need to update to Betaflight 4.4.x on the DarwinFPV flight controller using the BETAFPVF4SX1280 Betaflight target, at which point you should be able to enter your bind phrase in the receiver tab of betaflight and all should be well. That’s all supposing that you have the built in ELRS version.

Thanks so much for your quick reply. Sorry I meant BNF not PNP. I paid extra for the elrs version rather than FRsky or no Rx.

I find this confusing sorry.
I did a diff all command in cli and got the info that the board is Matek 411
Betaflight version is stm32f411(S411) 4.2.5

That's only if your radio is on ELRS 3.x, if you are still on ELRS 2.x then you have to stay with BF 4.3 or below which is probably what came preflashed on the AIO. In that case you just have to type the binding phrase UID in the CLI

Should I change this to betafpvf4sx1280?
And do I need to power up the babyape in boot loader mode before I go flash firmware?

Hold on. I may have given you incorrect information, they may actually be using a different flight controller and an external receiver on the v2 baby ape pro.

Can you take the top deck off the quad and post a clear pic of its electronics?

If I select betafpvf4sx1280 and go to flash firmware I get a warning that there is a mismatch as the board is matek411 and should I abort or continue flashing.

Per the DarwinFPV website, BAII now comes with a 3-6S Flight stack and external ELRS nano RX (wow and 1504 motors too).
