Hi everyone,

I was trying to flash my XRotor F4 G3 flight controller last night. It was all going great connecting it to Betaflight - it all showed up perfectly. I then did all the steps and hit flash.

The process stalled telling me: "Board seems read protected. Unprotecting. Do not disconnect/unplug!"

It was stuck at this message for several minutes with no progress made. Regrettably after about 5-10 minutes I decided to try again and unplugged. (Retrospectively I now know I'm an idiot)

Now the board won't connect to a computer and doesn't initialise when connected to power (doesn't do the normal sounds during power up). When connected to power the board now just has a green and red light that stay on solidly.

Do I need a new flight controller?

I have a Mac rather than a PC, so was not able to / didn't think I needed to install zadig. I think this may have been part of the issue

no fear, it shouldnt be any issue from unplug.
press the boot button while power the fc, you should see the fc marked as in "dfu"-mode, flash the firmware again

I've tried this just now and it hasn't worked.

I plugged in the FC via usb. Pressed the button. Nothing.

The Betaflight still can't see the FC board...

you need to press the button -while plug in via usb-
you can release the button after the leds light on. give it another try if you wasnt push while power it
