GPS Pedestal Holder for a Mini Quad
#1
A GPS holder for a mini quad.  It is specifically designed for a Diatone GT200 and a Mini Ublox M8N GPS but it can be modified.
the base is 30x30m and it is 82mm tall with a 7mm diameter shaft. The GPS holder is oversized to allow for different size GPS units.
With the Ublox GPS I needed to put 2 layers of clear shrink wrap to give it a snug fit

I made 3-4 prototypes testing first for durability and also minimum interference from the electronics.  It receives/locks-on 6-9 satellites sitting
on my workbench in the basement.  After destroying a couple prototypes due to trees and the ground jumping out in front of me Big Grin , I have settled on
this as the final design.  It weighs 7g.

I like it, particularly on smaller quads where room is at a premium.  It gets the GPS up above all the other stuff.  Well done!
