I installed an 880 gps/mag and the only way it shows the right direction is if I have it upside down! Why would that be Or how do I correct it?

You need to set the mag alignment. Since the magnetometer is on the opposite side of the PCB from the GPS antenna, it needs to be installed upside-down.

i have similar problems for myself, but in my case it's that the movement is unstable when i am in 'setup'. in your case you could try the following: go to "Configuration/Board and Sensor Alignment/MAG Alignment" and turn it to "CW0 flip". If your Compass is ALtering you could also select another degree than 0.

i have nearly exact 0° when i point to the north, but i have 325 pointing to the east, 264 to south 213 to west. and the image in 'setup' is drifting. that makes no sense!

Where do you have the compass mounted? It needs to be well clear of any sources of interference, and the magnetometer orientation must be correctly specified in iNav. The quad in the setup screen uses both the compass and gyroscope for orientation, and if they don't agree you'll get that drifting effect.

The GPS antenna has to be facing up. You need to set the magnetometer orientation properly in iNav. Typically, with the GPS facing up and the arrow on the GPS facing forward with the GPS installed level, the magnetometer orientation should be CW270FLIP. If the GPS is not level or the arrow is not facing forward, you'll need to adjust this.

Here is a more detailed protocol: https://github.com/iNavFlight/inav/issue...-727636397

This is on a 450 quad with a Matek F722se. The module is in a 4" mast...All appears good with it mounted upside down . I even get 11 sats indoors...I'm going to try it this afternoon the way that is is and see what happens. "waiting for the wind to die down"
