what am i supposed to do with the link under the betaflight section that reads "which file do i need"? I'm assuming copy it, but where/what am i supposed to do with it after that? 

i'm looking for 10.8 so i can jerry rig it into 10.9. 


i only have 10.9 downloaded...... and 4.4

You just download whichever file is appropriate to the operating system you are running and then you just execute the file (or unzip the contents if you downloaded a portable ZIP version). The files are all under the "Assets" heading at the bottom of the release section.

If you are planning on using Betaflight 4.4 you can't use Betaflight Configurator 10.8.0 for that. You need to use Betaflight Configurator 10.9.0.
